My room was very comfortable and the bed provided me with great nights sleep. the motel is dog friendly and compared to all the other dog friendly lodgings I stayed in on my trip, this was the nicest and the cleanest (thanks housekeeping!) The motel and the rooms are a bit dated but the manager and staff were painting the outside and the rooms will all be remodeled. I got to see one that was already completed and I guarantee when all retrofits are completed, this mid-century charmer is going to be the hottest ticket in town! Management and staff went out of their way to make my stay in Wallace delightful. I will be back. More read less - 8/06/2019

We have seen many changes in service. I just want to say that we observed Breck and crew working very hard to upgrade the appearance and to accommodate all of us. He was polite and wanted to make our stay enjoyable. Please know he and the others should be complimented. read less - 7/30/2019

I only stay there because of the location. They are a half block away from there annual blues festival. I won't be going next year. I realize they jack there prices up for that event. Could have more outlets. Rooms were not the biggest, but people who grew up in the 60's and 70's would appreciate the styling. Anything whatsoever that could set back this hotels rating, is easily made up for by the tiny town of Wallace surrounding it. Everything is very close by, because it took me about an hour to walk around the entire town and do some stopping and exploring as well. A cool, old styled hotel, in the middle of the historic mining town of Wallace. Overall great review. read less - 1/03/2019

Never had any housekeeping issues before, but on this particular stay when traveling through by myself on business, housekeeping had been a little lax in my room. One of the beds had been slept in and the linens were not changed, the coffee pot and tray in the room hadn’t been cleaned in awhile, there was a large ant and some dirt on the bottom of the bathtub, and a dried (booger?) on the shower curtain. Plus a spider in the sheets in the bed in the morning.
I wasn’t planning to say anything, but when checking out, the woman ahead of me was complaining about similar things in her room, and the manager asked me how my room was, so I admitted it was not very clean. She was very apologetic, apparently they had new housekeeping staff and were grateful to know there were some issues going on so they could address them. Both the lady ahead of me and myself were given certificates for a free stay our next time through. read less - 12/21/2018TahoeLOC

We weren't expecting much for $115 for two nights plus we had read the reviews and knew what we were getting into. We arrived late night so that was one night and the next day we were gone all day and then we left early the next morning. For what we doing and how long we were actually in the room everything worked out fine. We didn't turn on the air/heat at all in fear that my allergies would go CRAZY so luckily the weather permitted us to do this. Nice touch with the bottle opener though! read less - 10/05/2018

We were chasing a snowstorm hoping to ski, I suggested staying in Wallace on a Friday night and skiing silver Saturday. We booked and arrived late-around 10:30. Cheryl was up and greeted us, the room was clean, warm and perfect. Nice large beds, great sleep. We woke up to Ski, and they told us they offer a late checkout until 5 so we could ski, then come back and shower and be on our way! Amazing.
We drove ten minutes the next morning and rode some amazing snow. In fact, it was so good, we decided to stay another night at stardust. They chuckled when they saw us and checked us back in. The next morning was nuking snow, we were planning on going to Montana when Cheryl and Marty told us over coffee that lookout got 18 inches and they could get us discounted tickets. Thanks to them we enjoyed a top five all time day for both of us! In fact....it was so good we booked a third room at stardust. Cheryl and Marty didn't skip a beat, they got us all lined up with a perfect room, extra linens, and gave us dinner and drinking recommendations.
We finally checkout for good after three nights. Can't wait to stay again. If you don't stay here, you're missing out on a great town and great place! read less - 2/19/2018Brawley Valentine

The Stardust has a smart mid-century design in a town that stretches back much further in its history. The lobby does need personality in its layout, which I found to be the only issue. They are pet friendly with clean rooms, a friendly staff, large plate-glass windows with views of small town charm, blue skies and mountains of pine. This is a favorite place of mine. read less - 8/20/2017
